What does being an Honored Listee in Marquis Who’s Who actually mean?

Our founder, Me Ningsi Mei, has been named an Honored Listee in Marquis Who’s Who 2026.

That sentence sounds bigger than it is, so here is what it does and does not mean.

What Marquis Who’s Who is. It is a reference directory of professional biographies, published since 1898 and best known for Who’s Who in America. Being listed means a profile of your career is in the directory.

What it is not. It is not a competition, a ranking, or a verdict on the quality of anyone’s work. Several other directories use similar names, and the “Who’s Who” name is not exclusive to Marquis, so it’s worth checking the publisher before trusting any “you’ve been selected” email. Marquis says that inclusion is free and that it also sells optional commemorative products; we are not describing any of those here.

Why we’re sharing it. Ningsi practiced employment, immigration and cross-border law for more than ten years before founding EqualDocs. She is a member of the Barreau du Québec. She started EqualDocs because the hardest part of legal work is rarely getting an answer; it is carrying the work through the messy middle between clients, paperwork and lawyers. A listing like this is a marker along that road, nothing more.

“I started EqualDocs because I believe quality legal support shouldn’t depend on whether a company can afford an entire legal department.”

— Me Ningsi Mei, Founder & CEO, EqualDocs

Thank you to the clients, colleagues and family who’ve been part of the road. Back to work.
